The Roots of our Veterinary Clinic
Take a step back in time to the year of 1940. " During the war we exported six stock cockerels to Russia from Dunmow train station!" This little piece of history came from a client who actually lived at Marks Farm while working in the land army. Back then it was all very basic, with no running water or electricity. Now thankfully, we have all the modern utilities at Marks Farm, and today remains one of the five original manor houses in the area.

Today finds Vet Jerry Moloney heading the teams of our Dunmow and Takeley Clinics. However, he has been practicing in the Essex area for over twenty-five years, establishing his original surgery at Braintree in the early eighties. His sister Denise Moloney, joined him as he expanded into Halstead in 1989, when he took over the then Waters Partnership. Marks Farm followed in 1992 as an equine and small animal partnership, with a complete re-launch during 2001 as Marks Farm Veterinary Centre, treating small animals only. Extensive refurbishments to the whole building in 2006 saw a major extension providing two new operating theatres, separate dog and cat wards, a complete refit to the in-house laboratory, along with major investment in new diagnostic equipment. With progression always in mind, early 2012 saw the practice change to Moloney Veterinary Clinics, and a second branch was opened at Takeley in May 2013. Although various changes have taken place over the years, our core philosophy will always remain - a welcoming, personal and reassuring attention to all clients, along with the very best of veterinary care for their pets.
